Guitars, drums, bass drums, trumpets, among others instruments, may be taken as part of your checked baggage allowance, as long as they meet weight and dimension specifications: up to 158 linear cm (62 linear in) and 25 kg (55 lb).
Instruments can be also carried as an extra piece additional to the free of charge allowance; therefore a charge will be applied for the second piece, subject to space availability in the load compartment.
If the checked musical instrument exceeds the allowed weight and dimensions, you must cover the corresponding overweight and oversize charges.
Likewise, the airline reserves the right to check the luggage that does not meet the allowed specifications.
To transport instruments in this mode, passengers must pay an additional adult fee in the same flight as them at least one week in advance; consequently they will be entitled to check in 1 piece of 25 kg (55 lb) in the cargo compartment.
